A liquid history lesson on bicycles, with laughs and banter

The Gin Safari is a juniper-fuelled jaunt across London to reveal a story of gritty social history and the city’s turbulent affair with its favourite tipple, gin!

As you wobble (cycle) around picturesque Dickensian architecture, libations of ‘mothers ruin’ will be served from our GinCycle™, a rickety Victorian gin parlour on wheels.

Expect a gentle cycle, bustling food markets, colourful graffiti, fabulous views, interesting insights, crude jokes, and, of course, plenty of gin tasting!

“What an absolutely brilliant day. I had some reservations before arriving - I had not ridden a bicycle for 43 years… and there are some pretty average touristy things in London that this could have been… but James quickly dismissed those concerns… and we had probably the best day’s entertainment of the year!!!! There were 6 of us (plus James), and whilst the other four were tourists, we all got on brilliantly and had such a laugh. After the mandatory health and safety briefing, we were off… and the 43 years were quickly forgotten, and despite the odd wobble, it all came back like… riding a bike! Even though we know London pretty well, James took us to some places that we’d never been to before… but will come back again to explore further. He also introduced us to four gins that were very different, but complimented each other very well. And even though we had at least six shots of gin, we covered a lot of South London on our bikes, and am still sober enough to write this review!! James made the day for us - his knowledge and his demeanour just made everything so enjoyable, fascinating, and fun! Highly recommended - whether you are a tourist to London or a born and bred Cockney. Such a great day…
