Katie- you are more than a tour guide- this is more than a tour

It’s taken us a moment to write a review…… Katie- you are more than a tour guide- this is more than a tour. I am not about conventional- this experience was our highlight- from the caps, Monty Python tunes, all of the info and ending with graffiti painting- an absolute must. Please don’t change a thing. Personalities like yours are worth more than gold.

Absolute best way to enjoy London! It’s engaging, informative, and covers more ground than you can on foot. We have 6 and 8-year-old boys who love riding bikes, but haven’t ever been on a four-hour informational tour… Thanks to Edward, they “want to do that again every single day for a whole year!” He told stories in a way our kids could understand and opened up their curiosity for more. The route was a lovely mix of bike paths and roads through neighborhoods we never would’ve wandered otherwise. Couldn’t recommend this enough. Thank you, Edward!

Best possible way to see London - especially with kids! With only 2 days to show our two Aussie-born kids the highlights of London, we agonised between an open-top bus and Tally Ho. We chose well - and kept congratulating ourselves over how lucky we were to have booked such an amazing experience. Our son (3) and daughter (6) loved it - we were worried that they'd struggle with 3.5 hours of being in a babyseat/ride-along, but the time flew by and our wonderful tour guide, Edward, was clearly experienced with kids and read the room well, making lots of stops for stretching legs, snacks and pop quizzes, to keep them happy. Having a personal tour guide was also such a treat, and Edward's commentary was filled with fun tid-bits (most of which we'd never heard, despite having lived in London ourselves for 10 years). Cycling down The Mall to Buckingham Palace, with my family, on a sunny London morning will be a core memory I'll cherish. Thank you Edward!

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

The Private Family Bike Tour can be shortened by up to 1 hour (2.5hr duration) omitting a refreshment break and reducing the amount of tour content. If you prefer a swifter experience, just let us know at the time of booking. Note, this does not effect the price of the tour.

We use a mix of bike lanes, back streets, park paths and roads. The route is designed to be as safe as possible for mixed cycling abilities. But please be aware that London is an urban environment and can be busy and unpredictable at times. Riders must have basic ‘street sense’. We often recommend that kids under the age of 8 ride a tag-along bike behind a parent.

This bike tour includes a 20 minute break at a historic pub or Covent Garden Market where you can purchase refreshment (own expense) and use bathroom facilities. Unfortunately, there isn’t time for a full sit-down meal. But there are snacks if you’re peckish!

Loads. Your guide knows the best angles and will help.

On days it runs, we time a close-up corner for a few minutes of brass and bearskins.

We ride. London drizzle is part of the charm—wear suitable clothing. We’ve got ponchos if needed.

Yes. It’s a gentle pace with frequent stops on park paths and quiet streets.
