The short version: people seem to have had a very good time. Your holiday time is precious, so choose carefully. We are not the zone-out-and-stare-through-the-window option. We are the stories, guards, pubs, backstreets, street art, unexpected detours and "well, that was brilliant" option.

Wow! I know I’ll remember this London Gin Safari bike tour for years to come. Ask for your tour guide to be Katie… she is INCREDIBLE! So knowledgeable and an absolute blast. I felt sad to leave our time with her. Thank you Katie for your loving energy and generosity to us few tourists from New York City. This was the perfect way to end our time in London. HIGHLY SUGGEST!!!

Best guided tour of our trip - Our Tally Ho bike tour with Tom was our favorite activity of our entire London trip! We did the tour on our first day after arriving from the US early in the AM and it was stimulating and physically doable. Tom was an excellent guide and provided a detailed yet digestible overview of London history highlights. The ride allows you to cover a lot of ground efficiently and in fresh air. The route is manageable, not physically taxing, and felt safe. Highly recommend adding this to your London itinerary.

We had a great cycling tour with Edvard. Even though the cycling infrastructure in London isn't the most developed, the choosen route was relaxed with frequent stops to see and learn about the city

The London Gin Safari was my third Tally Ho cycle tour, and another very enjoyable few hours spent cycling in London. This time learning a bit about the history of gin in London. The cycling was at a good, relaxed pace, mainly in cycle lanes or paths, there were plenty of stops along the way, and the group sizes are deliberately kept quite small. The guide can make a big difference to any tour, and Katie, our guide today, knew plenty about gin and it’s history, and added humour as well as facts, to make the whole thing interesting and fun. I would recommend one of these Tally Ho tours to anyone, whether they are a visitor to London, or have lived in or near London for years, like myself. As it’s a great way to discover new things or places.

Great time, guide Edward was fantastic, revealing interesting history along the route with an irreverent fun twist. Bikes are in great shape, tour well organized with route etc, pub stop along the way. As an aside if you're walking here from the other side of the Thames it's a pleasant walk across the bridge but make sure you allow enough time (walking route gets convoluted).

Friends of mine flew to London from Canada for a visit and booked a bike tour with Tally Ho and we had a wonderful time. I’ve been here for over two years and I am so pleased we did this. Luke was our guide and gave a brilliant tour filled with loads of fascinating pieces of historical information and regaling us with stories I had never heard before. A very charming character indeed! It was all quite educational and entertaining. The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride- you don’t need to be an advanced cyclist by any means. We visited some of the main sites like Archbishops Gardens, Lambeth Palace, Westminster and the Parliament Buildings, Southbank, Downing Street, the home of T.E. Lawrence, St. Jame’s Park, Buckingham Palace, Clarence House (where King Charles resides- did not know that!) Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and finished our tour under the graffiti laden Leak Street Arches. I highly recommend Tally Ho if you’re looking for a more intimate and exciting experience of Central London!

London Cycle Experience - We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the route was safe and exciting as we travelled around over land landmarks like Tower Bridge! James was very informative, making the afternoon very special. It was a great way to see interesting places as we rode around on the Pashley bike with flat caps and with James playing Gilbert and Sullivan music, as well as sounding his bulb horn to clear the way! Cycling round will be an occasion that we will all ways remember.

Tons of fun exploring areas of London that are lesser known whilst learning a bit more about the popular places to visit. Fun facts thrown out and overall an unusual and best way to enjoy the fab city that London is. Defo worth doing.

Final useful bits

A few answers before you make your move

Because if you have made it this far, you are probably either ready to book or one sensible answer away from it.

Yes. Reviews are shown with their review channel, guest name where available, star rating, date, and a link to the original review when a direct link exists.

If you want the classic Tally Ho experience, start with Landmarks & Gems. It is our signature London bike tour: royal sights, hidden backstreets, proper stories, and a pace that feels like a lovely day out rather than a fitness test. If you want something private, unusual, or out of London, send us a note and we will steer you properly.

No. Bikes are our first love, but we also run walking tours, black cab tours, private London days, food and drink experiences, and UK day trips. The common thread is not the transport. It is brilliant guiding, good humour, and a day that does not feel like it came out of a laminated clipboard.

Yes, especially the Private Family Bike Tour. We have child seats for ages 9 months and up, tag-along bikes for ages 5-10, and smaller bikes for older children. The pace is gentle, the route avoids busy roads, and the guide can flex around snack needs, energy dips, and sudden deep questions about castles.

You are not alone. Our bike routes are designed to be calm and confidence-building, with quiet streets, parks, cycle lanes, and careful guide support. If cycling still does not feel right, choose a walking tour, black cab tour, or tailored private experience instead. No heroics required.

Tours run rain or shine, and bike tours include waterproof ponchos. A bit of London drizzle is part of the theatre. If conditions become genuinely unsafe, we will offer to rearrange or refund. Our bike tours are also covered by a money-back guarantee.

Yes. We can build private London tours, black cab days, countryside escapes, Stonehenge and Windsor trips, Cotswolds adventures, and odd-shaped plans that do not fit neatly into a booking widget. Tell us who is coming, when, and what sort of day you want.

Absolutely. Birthdays, family reunions, corporate groups, school groups, proposals, incentive trips, and visiting friends who deserve better than a rushed lap of the obvious bits. Share the brief and we will suggest the right format.

Usually the same working day. If your request needs a little plotting, we will still acknowledge it quickly and come back with sensible options rather than a vague shrug in a trench coat.

For scheduled tours, pick the tour, choose your date, and book directly through the website. For private or tailored experiences, send us a request and we will help shape it. Public tours have free cancellation with 24 hours’ notice; private and tailored bookings may have different terms depending on the plan.
